Hobart Optometry is a mobile optometry practice working in the aged care sector.
The business needed branding that reflected its values of care, tradition, reliability and professional practice. The business also wanted a design which did not incorporate motifs of eyes or glasses, which are commonly used for branding in the eye care sector.
I created a logo which combined the H and O initials of the business in a logomark which suggests stability and strength. There is no eye illustration; however the white of the ‘O’ with the purple of its centre can still be read as an iris and pupil.
The client requested a purple strip along the right vertical side of the A4 letterhead design in anticipation that the colour will be easy for nursing home staff to see when searching for a Hobart Optometry letter or document in a filing cabinet.
